Gone with the Wind

Gone with the Wind

This telephone pole is old --
All the cresote long absorbed.
Resembling a brown and hairy leg
-- each hair a staple.
Every staple held a flier.
Every flier held
A cry of outrage,
A manifesto,
Or a plea for attention.

All dissolved now
Into the ether.
