Trio of Haiku

I.
How many summer days
Did we watch busy ants rush
Along the rough bark?

II.
Ungainly heron
Flapping across the pond like
A proof of love’s death.

III.
Like sumptuously dressed
Matrons, summer trees sashay,
Swish silks in the breeze.
