Crazy Quilt

It is a pleasure to trim and cut,
Choose and fit words.
I have never been handy at wood,
Never had patience for quilting.
But I can piece the words,
Stitch them together in a pattern.
Not as useful, perhaps, to others,
But a journeyman poet is grand for me.
