3 Haiku

I.
Cottage cheese, so cold
It coats the bowl’s sides with white,
Painting over grief.

II.
The grasses bow down,
Laying down their heads to rest
As their seeds ripen.

III.
Eating from the can
Standing at the kitchen sink –
Oh! Guilty pleasure!
