I do not know if I love you,
Or if you are eating me
From the inside out.
Perhaps the shark feels like this
About the remora or the lamprey.
I have been gestating you
For years and years.
And now, I fear
Your exit plan:
To eat a new birth canal,
And leave an empty shell.
